New Products Should Decrease The Risk of Asbestos Related Diseases

asbestosfreebrakesNew environmentally friendly products are currently being designed to manage hazardous materials such as asbestos, lead-based paint, mold and mildew. GLOBAL Encasement, Inc. has developed high quality, fully tested and approved, Class A Fire Rated protective coatings for interior and exterior building surfaces. The new coatings would be used over surfaces containing asbestos; decreasing the risks associated with the material and creating a safer work environment.

Asbestos is used as a heat and sound coating and is typically found in industries such as shipyards, automotive, manufacturing and construction. It can also be commonly found in power plants, chemical plants and oil refineries. Asbestos, one of the most hazardous materials in occupational environments, has been the cause of lethal respiratory diseases including mesothelioma and other lung cancers. The greatest danger is that a small percentage of patients are ever fully cured after being diagnosed with mesothelioma.

One of the new products by GLOBAL Encasement, Inc.’s is AbestoSafe, a protective coating system that encases and seals hazards in place. AbestoSafe is designed for interior and exterior use over steel, pipes, ducts, siding, roofing, acoustical ceilings and plaster that contain asbestos. Another product, PrepLESS Primer, enhances preparation for cracked or peeling asbestos-containing surfaces. The product prohibits dust and fibers from being released into the air; increasing safety while performing asbestos related projects.

Not only do these products curb the high cost of removing the toxic substances but, also allow for fewer risks of being exposed to asbestos and avoiding the hassle of properly disposing the hazardous waste.
